Don't be afraid to call a spade a spade

As much as I like this car, I still try to be objective (not influenced by emotions or prejudices). And to be perfectly honest it doesn't sound too good IMHO, especially at the higher RPMs. I think many of the positive posts here about this exhaust clip are mostly driven by emotion and over-exuberance for the car and not honest objectivity. So far all the early reviews regarding the exhaust note don't jive with all the positive comments about it in this thread.

Don't be afraid to call a spade a spade because I'm sure an aftermarket or Nismo exhaust will take care of the problem.

It's a spade.

I brought this up before, but I really feel like they lost the magic of the last gen Z/G35 exhaust note. To this day I always find my neck snapping around to look at stock Z's and G35's ... heck even FX35's when I hear that distinctive exhaust tone. This new one is sounding a lot less impressive (in videos so far).

I'll wait until I hear it in person, but so far I'm feeling a bit let down.

I agree. This exhaust note is nice, but not as nice as the Chewbacca howl of the Z33. I LOVED that sound. As you stated, however, I am sure the Nismo exhaust will fix that right up.
