I still prefer OEM, not that that Alien Silver is bad, I just like the gunmetal color a bit more.

Who knows, it may end up looking good. I saw a 300ZX with some fluorescent pink (maybe orange, was too close to call) and it didn't look bad - def. stood out. Are you going to go with a matte or gloss finish?

I think gloss would look better.

Gloss of course! I have had a love affair with that specific color for a few years and have been salivating to put it on another car.
