I finally got my car back a couple of days ago.
It was this magazine ad that started it all: http://i.imgur.com/5mNf5lL.jpg?1 When I went to pick it up: http://i.imgur.com/2yEq93G.jpg?1 Went to eat before driving home: http://i.imgur.com/PkSU8hS.jpg?1 The first actual day driving it: http://i.imgur.com/srdKENn.jpg?1 Caught this guy 'mirin when I came back to my car: http://i.imgur.com/8EvJE2i.jpg?1 I went in my garage fine on the first night, but when I left the day after, I scrapped and thought it was cause I went too quick, so at the end of the day when I went back.....: http://i.imgur.com/ku36IeQ.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/J2OpqoC.jpg?1 I'm guessing my car's coils settled overnight or something, cause I wasn't going to make it back into the garage without scraping. I ended up using plywood to get back in safe. I can deal with the car being at this height if it wasn't for the side skirts being so low. Right now there is less than 3" of clearance on the sideskirts by the rear wheels. I'm thinking raising by 1"- 1.5" but I don't know if that is too much. Can I get some inputs on a couple of things? 1. How much should I raise the car by to safely get over speed bumps while not sacrificing too much aesthetics? In other words, how many inches of clearance do you guys have on your side skirts? 2. I am not too satisfied with the paint match, my bodyshop said give it a month with a bit of sunlight and the colour match should be closer. They're willing to repaint it. What do you think? (2nd last photo shows it best). Would you be okay with it? |
Beautiful.
Need to change the sig. That's a pretty tight fit. Did yo consider Fly1 side skirt scrape plates? It's hard to match pearl. Maybe wait, like they said. They probably used teh factory code, and you r original paint is no longer the same colour due to fading. |

lol Those are 19s, I think they look undersized due to the height of the tire sidewall. Those are some beefy tires

After reading all 96 pages of this thread, all I can say is: "Wow, how beautiful!":yum:
Congrats to everybody that has this kit installed on their Z because it's a beauty! |

The grip is quite different compared to stock ;) |
^that's the same size as my re-11s. You must have something different. My front sidewall isn't as tall as yours.

My rear was 1/4 inch lowered more in the rear than the front as well in those photos. |

Looking good though  Edit- Depending on the price paid. I wouldn't be satisfied with that paint match. |
My stock skirts don't match either.
|
Mine either.... :shakes head:
