I think there is another in this thread with a GT wing, but is somewhere in the middle.

Cooltoy got it right that one is 100% 40th.
TheDreamer's post looks like dark grey to me.

Thanks!

So I measured my stock skirts dropped on Swifts (measured from the inside near the tire):
Front: 3.75"
Rear: 5"

So looks like with the Amuse skirts I will be at:
Front: 3.25"
Rear: 3.75"

Has anybody cracked their side skirts yet?
Wonder how bad it will be that low...

I dont think its the sides that should be your biggest concern. Its the front bumper. With how far it hangs out in front of the front axle it really makes it difficult. I had swift springs ready to go on my car but ended up selling them as I am having a hard enough time not scraping the bumper at stock height and I am used to driving lowered cars

Ire 02-27-2014 05:07 PM

no, the front is definitely not a problem
i used to have sunline front, sideblades (and stock rear) and lemme tell you... that sunline lip is nuts. it scraped all day every day. to the point where you stopped caring. The amuse is a LOT higher. it might protrude a bit more but we're talking maybe an inch at most. the sunline one was really wide to so even taking things at an angle merely meant you scraped more gently, it was unavoidable. The amuse gives me MUCH less problems.

the sideskirts are a completely different issue, they're so low that any type of curved surface you may drive over comes perilously close to the skirts. I havent driven it much (its winter) but the couple weeks i had it out, i've actually got out of the car to check my distance and if you DD the car, you'll scrape the amuse skirts more than you'll scrape the amuse bumper (compared to sunline) ... i also had the evo-r lip but that was so mild it was essentially stock (it doesnt go any lower and its only like 2-3 inches forward of the bumper anyways)

TL DR : amuse sideskirts : we scrape a lot to look good

FairladyZ10PG 02-27-2014 05:27 PM

Yea, my car is pretty low and I'm able to make it through the day without scraping my front bumper. Just gotta remember to cut...a lot...lol. Can't speak for the side since I don't have them YET :P

I'm 100% sure that is a 40th anniversary, I know the owner.

You'll be fine. Mine is 2.5" front and 2"rear.
I've scratched but zero cracks

Luciano13 02-27-2014 05:55 PM

We.are talking clearance from bottom of skirts to ground right?
If so, the above is my clearance

Jasonle 02-27-2014 06:15 PM

Im on coilovers ...no cracks yet. Scrape my front bumper few times... nothing I could do. Oh well. Good thing Its not my DD :)

equalme 02-27-2014 08:31 PM

About how much did you all pay for the full amuse kit with the wing?
I'm finding prices ranging from $2750-3000 shipped for replica...sound about right?

cooltoy 02-27-2014 08:33 PM

Sounds right. That would be Aerojacket or Shine Auto.

Sounds right, any cheaper and your in crap-ebay area. I think CS has it for like 2660 full kit with CF accents, before ship and brake light for the wing.

FairladyZ10PG 02-27-2014 08:53 PM

Shine auto has the whole thing for $2100 before ship. And their quality is great. Don't know about aerojacket. I have the shine auto front bumper and my bodyshop guy said it's one of the best quality and fit replica that he's worked with if not best.

I've checked them out. With carbon accents it's $2500 plus about $250 for shipping.

Damn that's a great price, and just for anyone who doesn't know, all CarbonSignal Amuse parts are made by their partner ShineAuto.

FairladyZ10PG 02-27-2014 08:59 PM

Yup, CF will cost you more but $400 extra for small area CF accents is not worth it imo but that's just me. I'd rather spend that on something more useful :)

cooltoy 02-27-2014 09:17 PM

Like CF canards.;) j/k

I know I'll regret it later on if I don't get it with CF though lol.

Anybody know if there is any quality difference between Aerojacket and Shine? Since Carbonsignals kit is from Shine...I'm assuming it's cheaper straight from Shine.

KaienZ34 02-27-2014 09:31 PM

I haven't seen the AJ kit in person, but haven't heard a lot of good things about it. I've seen the CS/SA kit and the real Amuse even an ebay kit. The CS/SA kit was just as nice as the original Amuse you could tell the difference, the ebay one I didn't like personal, it does not look the same as the original.

Thanks!

I'm going to stick with CS/SA kit then. Now to figure out if I want cf accents or not... I know it pretty much blends in with the 40th paint..

Jasonle 02-27-2014 09:43 PM

I got my kit (shine auto) from a forum member on here... drove 3 hours to pick it up. It had carbon fiber accent too. Just be prepared to pay $$ for paint and install. But it's so worth it. Lots of thumbs up on the roads :)

equalme 03-01-2014 08:12 PM

Okay guys. I decided to skip the amuse skirts and stick with the stock ones. FairladyZ10PG picture convinced me lol.

I am going with mines replica add-on spoiler as well. Now I can't decide if I want the amuse rear or not...

In my opinion the rear bumper is the only Amuse piece i would buy for the Z:tup:

I'm definitely getting the front.

I've only seen one picture withe front/rear amuse, stock sides, and mines spoiler. It was a PW z but he only had like one or two pictures posted and none were a good angle of the rear quarter.

cooltoy 03-01-2014 09:07 PM

I'd say get the rear too. Shipping is the same if you buy both or just one piece.
And as you can see you will not have any problems selling the rear if you don't like it.

cooltoy 03-01-2014 09:17 PM

I assume you are talking about this one.

thoughts on CF ducktail vs gt wing for my amuse?

If you have cf accents on the body kit cf ducktail will compliment it better IMO...I'm planning on getting the type-n spoiler in cf and an amuse kit as well

cooltoy 03-02-2014 06:32 PM

I thought you already had the GT wing on.

Ire 03-02-2014 09:07 PM

its off now. still deciding

i actually dont really understand the purpose of that spoiler... the same thing can be done with the much cheaper regular sport spoiler... i guess its just a matter of aesthetics?
