crowd sourced project 370z

Nissan has finally wrapped up work on its crowd-sourced project 370Z. The company put the sports car on a dyno for final tuning and wound up with somewhere around 504 horsepower. That's not too shabby given the jump in gusto was gleaned from a few bolt-on parts.

Nissan then set about fitting the steering wheel and shift nob as chosen by the teaming internet masses. A set of custom Recaro seats also replaced factory buckets. With the interior squared away, the company turned its eye toward ironing out the exterior.

A set of lightweight forged Volk wheels took the place of the factory rollers, and a new matte grey vinyl wrap took care of the standard yellow paint. Nissan debuted its creation at Z Dayz last weekend. Scroll down for a look at the video for yourself.Continue reading Nissan crowd-sourced Project 370Z moves to stage two

They did a nice job with the car. They did a full NISMO kit and matte gray wrap. The graphics were ok but felt a little bit "off." Interior was very well done... the Recaro Sportster CS with custom upholstery were very, very nice.

i loved the matte gray wrap. I feel like that dull grey is the perfect color for the 370z body.

For the sharper lines of the NISMO, I'd say.

I really loved the wheels. So nice.

Definitely NOT feeling those graphics. I'm gonna guess that was a chick's idea. :supergay:

They didn't look bad in person... just needed to be laid out differently on the car.

The matte wrap was really sweet though. I wanted to rub up on the car but they said no. :(

I helped get it off of the hauler at Zdayz, a film crew was taking footage for an upcoming Nissan comercial. I also got a pic of the underside while it was still in the hauler where you can see a sweet looking rear end cooler mounted underneath and behind the transmission. Will post the pic when I get home.

The wheels looked perfect in person.

What rear spoiler did they use? An OEM Nismo or a Seibon or something?

:iagree: Wheels were spot on with the wrap and the Recaro's. The reflective honeycomb design was meh.

I rubbed it :excited:

Must be Seibon, because it is the only one I believe which removes the middle piece.

What's a little hard to see from photos is that in the sunshine, the wheels were almost perfectly color coordinated with the rear spoiler, accents from the custom graphics, and the interior.

It was a beauty in person.
