Adobe Lightroom.
I didn't know those were taken with an ipad. Lightroom works best when you shoot in RAW format. They have a free trial though. 30 Days. You can pinpoint exact spots on an image and completely transform them. You cant really edit things out too much like in photo shop. But you can take that 3rd pic, and completely lighten those shadows so you can see the car, but still keep the beautiful sunset. Its pretty awesome.
