Try taking those kinds of shots later in the day. Sun is a little too high. Need to move around to avoid direct light and cause too much flare. If a silhouette is the goal, take the shot at a lower angle. In the photo, the tree on the left of the sun could be used to diffuse direct sunlight.

That's beside my parents house. I would never think of going in their driveway. Huge slope and huge curb. Even stock, I never considered it. My own drive way, I have about two fingers on the front and one finger under the back of the skirts, going in angled. Just as I calculated. |
