Well, I wanted to see what the big deal is with turning VDC off. So today I thought I would give it a try to see what would happen...

what the heck happened to your steering wheel when you hit the START button? is that normal in manuals?

Its a locking mechanism for the steering column, they took it out in 2012 i believe.

People are starting to have issues with it, it was recalled on the GTR but not the Z.

My roommate just got stuck the other night because of it, his keys wouldnt work =[

Its also a 550 dollar part.

Yeah, it was just the steering lock unlocking. It doesn't jump like that all the time.

It is a Rev B, so it wouldn't surprise me if it did go. Still have warranty until Jan 2013. Too bad the car will be under cover come November.
