Nissan 370Z testing on salt flats
Nissan 370Z testing on salt flats. I am not sure who these guys are. Enjoy. BTW, this is probably the dirtiest 370Z on the planet.

my reaction to this video can best be summed up in image form

How come they managed to treat that way a brand new car not on the market yet?!??
Who gave it to them?! |
Such abuse, on a beautiful car! Pathetic moron losers!
|
I did a little google searching and found Mike's myspace. You can actually see the Z before the Salt bed abuse.

Yeah watching that stirred up various emotions...Anger, jealousy, annoyance, excitement, and then anger again.
Mike and Bling + chewing gum and camera=:stfu: |
I know these guys. Bling is a local drifter. He has a pretty badass S13. Not sure how they got there hands on the 370. The shirt bling is wearing with the "DM" on it is from Densetsu Motorsports in Tucson. I know the owner.
I'll have to do some digging and see how all of this came about. |

Hey.. did you go to the Follow the Z event?? I was there chatting it up with the guy that owned the GTR for the majority of the time. |

Well found out some more info....
These guys work at the Nissan Proving Grounds in Casa Grande, AZ. This is like 25 minutes from my house. They took out some of the test cars from the proving grounds for a little fun. These cars are scheduled to be torn down for evaluation soon. |

On another note, I didn't know tires would make so much noise on El Mirage. I work not far from there but I haven't been there yet. |

a. They DO NOT show any professionalism at all. Their language is foul and NOT appropriate. b. Their derogatory comments (i.e. "Here are the ugly headlights") are unacceptable. c. I highly doubt that's what Nissan ask them to do. I would like to find out who they are (name) and what plant they work for (also their position). |

On a personal level I think the guys are idiots unless Nissan specifically authorized them to abuse it like that. |

I have to face the fact, though, that many of those type of idiots have a LOT of dollars to vote with, including the wherewithal to purchase sports cars. And if they find this sort of video to be "cool" then it will generate sales. Even with all that in mind, though, if those were my employees, I'd call them in and tell them that it was a shame they blew a tire sliding my car across the desert on their last day at work for Nissan! I couldn't for a minute tolerate such people working for me. If they act like this on video, just what are they up to when they think no one is looking? |

Nissan/Infiniti News Room
I can't get the e-mail to work! I'd like to let Nissan HQ, in Tennessee know about this video! It may not be the right person, but I'm sure the proper person will be informed! |

Thanks Mike. Very well written. There are plenty of GREAT Nissan 370Z videos out there. I think we can live without this one. John actually is a cool guy. He'll get back to you pretty quick.

Disappointing on how they treat this car...The guy with the camera is an absolute tool...I wanna jump thru the screen...give him a nice man slap to the face...and make him spit his gum out...ahhhh

Someone should copy the video and host it on their own youtube profile A.S.A.P. in case these d-bags take it down. I'd do it but I'm not a youtube/video production (or whatever) expert.
|
Disrespectful idiots like that don't deserve to drive a Z. I was getting really pissed off watching those idiots. If they do work for Nissan, I hope they are let go immediately.

License plate in the video-Tennessee 4240 DL. The current issue of Car and Driver page 47 of the Z tested the plate is Tennessee 4245 DL. This one was posted in site. What gives with the plate numbers?
