Nismo in dealer showroom, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Once again, I took a job over in this part of the world. Some co-workers & I went car shopping, & strolled into the Nissan dealership in Abu Dhabi City. This Z was one of the few cars in the showroom, so I made a bee line to it. The more I looked at it, the more questions I had on whether it left the factory the way it is in the pictures. The sales staff didn’t know (no surprise to me).
The cars in this part of the world are coded as GCC (Gulf Corporative Council) spec, which I’m coming to find out means a larger radiator & a/c condenser, & a different radio, maybe some changes in marker lights, & a kilometers per hour speedo. You can see the front fascia is shorter than US spec Nismos, but it has splitters(?) on the front corners. The door sills have the lighted Z logo , but the interior has absolutely no special Nismo features. You can see the front fascia is shorter than US spec Nismos, but it has splitters(?) on the front corners. The door sills have the lighted Z logo , but the interior has absolutely no special Nismo features. The mirrors have the typical “Objects may appear closer…” writing, but in Arabic. The rear fascia looked bone stock US to me, with no ducting at all. The rear hatch did have a spray nozzle for washer fluid to go along with the wiper, & I dig that it has the lower red fog light & clear stop lights. This lovely 2010, yes, 2010, can be yours for 194,600 Dhms, which is $53,000. No thanks, just looking. |

Thanks for the clarification, Waizzz. I couldn't tell what was going on with it. I've only been here about two weeks, & have only seen 4 Zs total. Two 350s & a 370 on the highway, & the one in the pics. However, I have seen two GT-Rs on the street/highway. Every green light here is the start of a race, & man, that GT-R pulled away, engine howling. It was great, I tell ya. |

I've heard that the Cadillac CTS-V's are becoming the "it" car over there. The big Mercedes and BMW's are too common, so they are opting for some "American Muscle". I imagine the gas prices there are way low, so they can drive whatever they want and not have to worry about spending $80 to fill their tanks.

I saw all types of cars when I was working in Abu Dhabi. I went to Ferrari World and drove on Yas Marina Circuit. I saw some awesome vehicles while I was there. Very different world I must say.

Have not had the opportunity to looks at the gas prices yet, but from what I've heard, they are lower than in the states.
You are right Mults, BMWs & Mercs are very common. To me, they seem to be the Accord or Camry of the luxury car segment over here. Still, I would mind getting a BMW 550i for the time I'm here. Those you tube vids only scratch the surface. The stuff I've seen on the roads in only two weeks, from the back of a cab no less, makes me want to drive a tank. Almost every trip I've taken, some driver pulls off some bone head move that makes me shake my head, cringe, or downright suck up the seat cushion. |

I seriously think that S-Tune kit is the UGLIEST thing you could possibly out on a 370z. I mean the car is so beautifully designed in the first place, that the fact that this lip kit is produced and offered for this car BY nissan is ridiculous. And I never thought I would actually see a car with that decal package ACTUALLY on the car.
Just my .2 cents
