370Z vs FWD Hot Hatch
Not the ideal conditions for the Z but still a good video. |
yes, under those conditions, I would definitely say that the hatch has the upper hand. It might be ahead in the dry or the wet ... I guess you never know. We have an MS3 and tbh i'm not to sure that from a 40 roll that my Z would beat it. Those things pull hard... 280 ft. lbs of torque.

yah, just getter tires next time.

after watching the video, pretty interesting. Their complaints about the 370's corner entry understeer and exit oversteer have been some of my biggest complaints about the car's dynamic, and it makes sense that the hatch would beat it in the rain, since it really magnifies that behavior...it is not very reassuring.

Couple of things. The track and conditions played very well to turbo charged front wheel drive car. do we know what tires used were on each car? Did Nissan have high treadwear streets and Renult have DOT R tires or soft streets? What kind of suspension does this hot version Renult have?

I am so gonna trade in my Z for that hatch

Ha

Renault huh? Not impressed!

I actually am going to trade my Z in and get a GTI. Not because I want to... BUT it's a very nice car that gets decent mileage and is still fun, it's practical and it will drop my payments 150-200.00 a month, plus the mileage will be at least 4 or 5 mpg better. My wife is also selling her MS3 since she owes nothing on it and we have to pay the bank for the house.
At least i'll be back to a turbo car. The APR stage 2 set-ups don't seem to bad either whenever we can get a little spending money... the stage 3? Low 12's for some guys... not to bad for a FWD that isn't going to get as much traction. |
