My 370Z in the fog...

makes sense to me, i'll have to try this kind of shot sometime. i've honestly never done any kind of composite like this tho i know how. i like to

makes sense to me, i'll have to try this kind of shot sometime. i've honestly never done any kind of composite like this tho i know how. i like to have it all in the camera in one exposure. my images are typically very close to what i got at the shoot/event but i just clean up anything distracting with clone tool and do one level of sharpening. that's usually pretty much it

Sometimes you want to recreate what you saw in real life. This can only be done with multiple exposures or other HDR techniques. As you can see, this is seriously what we saw in person, but if it was a normal camera shot, the headlights would blow everything out of proportion. The effect wasn't overdone to look "surreal"

Besides... Point and shoots are starting to have the same pixel quality etc as our DSLRs... Time to up the ante and do some strobist stuff.

couldn't agree more. i've been told the human eye see's approximately 12 stops of light, old film could see around 9 stops of light and digital is limited to about 5. that makes a huge difference.
