First Public Showing Of 370z In The UK
Just thought Id post this up for you guys interested in more hands on pics. Im the media officer for nissansportz here in the UK and I thought I'd share our good fortune with you. Video to follow.
 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3001/...e795cffc_o.jpg Yesterday saw the first public showing of the brand new Nissan 370Z in the UK. And we at nissansportz.com were proud to be the ones to have it first. It took an awful lot of planning and with the help of both Nissan UK and Nissan Europe, nissansportz were able to unveil the replacement to the 350Z to their members at the club AGM. In keeping with such an occasion the venue chosen was the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire. The car (seen below) had been driven to the UK under cover of darkness direct from the European HQ of the Nissan Sports Division in Geneva. Still on European tradeplates the car was one of the very first production prototypes in Europe. Coming to the UK just 3 days after the official launch, gave nissansportz members an exclusive first hand viewing of what is going to be the 2 seater sports coupe of 2009. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3242/...db6a7187_o.jpg The new design was quickly put side by side with its predecessor and it was clear to see that key qualities of the 350Z had been considered and improved upon in the new design. "This car really needs to be seen to be appreciated" said David Baker, "The photos just don't do it justice". On hand was Marshall Nissans Dealer Principle Dave Arrowsmith, who was within minutes, practically fighting off offers of deposits, until the cars official announcement in the UK. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3286/...58dfb35b_o.jpg What has been seen by the press and the pundits as an evolution rather than a revolution, can be, (when seen in the flesh) proven to be a radical and correct step in the right direction following on from the 350Z as another ground breaking design. Its size really is deceptive. It was only when placed side by side with its predecessor that it became apparent just how compact the new design is. And yet none of the qualities found in the old car have been lost. Despite increased safety regulations (which usually encounters more weight) the new 370Z manages to maintain a similar weight to the 350Z by using more aluminium components and lowers the centre of gravity over the old car. Also up is the power output from the all new 3.7 litre V6 engine. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3182/...5576365a_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3253/...8338469f_o.jpg Also expected for the first time in the UK, is an automatic version featuring a 7 speed auto 'box. Whilst prices and specification have yet to be confirmed by Nissan UK, it is clear that they are on to yet another class leading winner with the replacement to the highly acclaimed 350Z. Stay tuned for more information over the coming days and some video footage of our time with the car. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3046/...a506fa90_o.jpg |
First of all, Welcome the The370Z.com. Some very nice pictures of that Platinum Graphite 370Z  . I do like that side shot of the 350Z and 370Z. You can clearly see the difference between them. Any reason WHY it has a Infiniti steering wheel?

Yes the car is a prototype originally used for SOP testing at Nurburg.

As the car is not expected to launch in Europe until April, we had this car driven over from Geneva Switzerland especially for us. We have very close ties with Nissan and do many events with them.

Thanks for the upload, Dash!
We all know the new Z's got the same engine as G37, but please, if you can, upload a video with exhaust SOUND  |

Fast Forward to 3:55 .. 370Z drive away but the guy doesn't even floor it :shakes head:. |
Thanks Ak! Doesn't matter for the sound, it was just beautiful seeing her going away.
I confess I didnt' fast forward.. too many wonderful sounds! |
Nissan 370Z Exhaust tone
Here's another one. Seems like it's a little quieter than the current Z because the 350Z sounds louder in the video (right after the 370Zs). It also seems a bit more higher pitched. This is very interesting. If I were to guess, maybe it's a little louder than the G37? We should also keep in mind that some of the 370Zs out there have Nismo exhaust installed which is NOT going to come stock with the 370Z. http://www.the370z.com/members/ak370...cture423-a.jpg |

NICE AK!!!! seems to me that the 370z sounds more aggressive than the 350z sweeter and lovely sound. But as you said, could be the nismo exhaust. but still love it. brooooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!

This Graphite is tempting, love this color, IMO, this is the best color. I love the picture where the 350 is w/ 370, you can see the more redefined shape of the 370, the more aggressive look of the lines, the wider body. It is perfect jeje.
In the 2nd video posted, the 370 looks also very exotic. |
Thanks for the other sound video, AK!
