Holy crap, I wish you posted this an hour ago so I wouldn't have bought mine! Is it not a Nissan OEM product? I thought we were all understanding that it was? With the chrome paint falling off like that, it looks like it's some aftermarket job =(

I ordered it from TheZStore.com. I assume everyone gets these things from the same place, but I could be wrong.
PS, I just noticed it, or I would have let you guys know sooner. Hopefully you have better luck than I did! |

I did see the picture but if someone comes across one that is actually a good product, then I would think about getting one.

^ You're right in that it's a 350 badge. It's on my wife's 350. I'm fine with the 370 badge on my car for now. ;]
That being said, I don't know where you're buying "genuine" parts from. All the normal websites I'm going to seem to be selling the same thing. The one the thread starter ordered is from the same exact place. Not sure what you're seeing in the pic that says "cheap aftermarket" other than the obvious damage, but your eyes must be better calibrated than mine. Last edited by frost; 05-10-2009 at 08:45 PM. |

I ordered mine from the same place, they currently have them on back order so I still have not gotten it. Wondering if it is wise to cancel my order, or at last remove it from my order (have some floor mats also coming).
I will email them and link this thread and see if they can comment on it.

Just got an email back,
We’ve never seen the emblems fade like that. These emblems are genuine Nissan parts and the quality is very good. We’ve been offering these since 2003, when the first 350Z came out and this is the first I’ve seen that did this. I would be more inclined to think that some sort of chemical used, maybe when washing the car, caused this to happen. Not saying you did anything wrong frost, but this is what they stated.
