Nice! I also have a 1:24 that I'm doing in 40th color scheme. The Tamiya gun metal spray paint is remarkably close to the real thing.

Red__Zed 05-28-2011 11:35 PM

nice

Thanks guys! That is exactly what I used Tamiya TS-38 Gun Metal.

Can you post pics. Really curious how it will look in solid RED. Maybe the collection of BLUE, RED, WHITE will be nice on my shelf :happydance:

Awesome. Here's the one I did a few months back... the right headlight got a little messed up with a glue "mishap" I had, but was a lot of fun building it!

Where can I buy this?!? lol

I thought the Tamiyas didn't come with complete interiors...?

The Tamiya 370Z kits are curbside models, which means they have a complete exterior and cockpit, but no engine detail and limited suspension detail.

xdeslitx 06-01-2011 11:49 PM

i want one! haha what did you use for the red interior?
how the hell do you order this? i went to the tamiya site (very poorly made website) and couldnt really find a link to order

Maila87 06-02-2011 06:10 AM

Tamiya

Local model dealers should have them. Also on ebay is store. Don't want to advertise. Can post link.

Thanks a lot guys! I used Tamiya Italian Red on a gray primer for the leather and Tamiya Flat Red for the "suede" inserts. I then sprayed the seats with a matte clear.

I agree about the Tamiya site, but I love their products! I just got mine on ebay:icon17:

Nice, Looks great! I saw this at the local hobby store and wanted to buy it. What's the quality of the kit?

Thanks! The kit quality is awesome! Like what was said above, the kit doesn't have an engine or hinges to open the hood or doors but everything is perfectly molded, especially the sport wheels! The rear wheels roll on a single axle and the front move left and right on tiny control arms!

I would suggest getting a metal etch-up kit (found on ebay) to enhance the look of the kit. Comes with metal brake disks, emblems, radiator and much more!
