Any gaps in that varis piece? What rims are those?

I believe those are advan rs-d wheels, they come in all black, black w/ polished lip, and silver. I've been eyeing these wheels for the past 6 months now, think its time to order.

Dang, if they make those in a gunmetal color, that will be great. That varis rear looks like it fits really well, mike is there anyway I could get the area around the fog light carbon as well or is it fiberglass which needs to be painted?

We've sold a few of the Carbon and FRP rear skirts with no complaints & only praise. After seeing the car in Japan, I didn't notice any fitment issues either. Expect typical Japanese quality and fitment; especially from Varis.

Poor quality & especially poor fitment is reserved for replicas.

Also, here's a link to the RS-Ds; looks like they don't make them in Gunmetal. You'll need to get them powdercoated which usually runs about $200-300 for a set.

Hope that helps!

We can probably have them make that center piece carbon by request. It may cost a bit more, but Varis would probably oblige.

What's the wait time on one of these rear diffuser pieces in carbon if I ordered this week?

Varis has been averaging about 3 months lately (the last hood we ordered took 3 months) Varis has been known to take longer with their production speed from time to time, so it's not uncommon for them to take an extra month or so on top of that. Either way, once they deliver it to us in Japan, we ship containers every 3-4 weeks so we'll have it on it's way to the US shortly after.

Hey mike. How do you feel about Top Secret CF parts. Are they hit or miss? Bought a full CF front lip and I was not impress with the fitment ( holes not lining up) nor the CF quality ( clear coat issues).

I'm surprised that there were fitment issues with your front lip, but I had a similar issue with my S2000 front bumper. The holes didn't line up so I had to redrill them, but the bumper fitment was very good so that's all that really mattered. I think my 2nd bumper didn't need re-drilling (crashed the first one)

How was the overall fitment of the lip?

Regarding the carbon finish, it's been that way with Top Secret for as long as I've seen (been here for 4 years). I have run into this a few times with Japanese parts in general, including Top Secret. Some parts have an imperfect weave or some clouding in the clearcoat. For some companies, this is acceptable. They're more concerned with the quality of construction and fitment; and not so much on the visual.

A good example is the Mugen Dry Carbon S2000 hood. It's a $4k hood that is made with 2 pieces of carbon so there is an obvious seam going straight through the hood horizontally. They could have made it with one piece of carbon, but I guess it was just a waste.

Most people wouldn't want a seam going through the hood after spending $4k, but it's a difference of perspective I guess. It used to matter more to me, but nowadays it's more classy to paint carbon and it looks cleaner with just accents so it's not a big deal so much anymore.

Hope this helps.

Fitment was spot on. So that was a plus. It was just the cloudiness in the clear coat in some areas and 1 of the 2 predrilled hole was off by a half inch.

Thanks for your response!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be sure to let future customers know this so they know what to expect.
