Photoshoot W/ New Canon T2i

I just finished this shoot and did some processing. This camera is a beast. I'm just coming off of a Nikon, so getting used to the Canon comes with a learning curve. These pictures came out well, but the best part is the versatility of the camera, and I'm just getting started. I'm gonna have far more in the future, but for now, you can all enjoy these:

NEW PICS ON PAGE 2!

absolutely, beautiful photos...that new canon is sweet, and it looks like it was a perfect day for the shoot. Great job, keep em coming!

Wow amazing pics man!!

thanks guys, hopefully the next time I do a shoot my fiancee will pose with the car, we've been wanting to do this for a while. It'll be hot for sure, think back to the old photoshoot of the red nismo 370z and the red GTR, I forget who did it, but it'll be like that!

Very nice! Great pics!

Give yourself some credit, the camera is only half the equation. Very nice pics, although some could use a little more tweeking. The car color (white) is spot on the last shots, but looks a little darker/yellowish on the others. That second shot is perfect. What program are you using to edit?

Also, AK set up a Photography section for this type of thread.

Thanks! I try and take out as much yellow as possible while still maintaining the "pearl" effect of the paint because it isn't a flat white, it's a bit darker. But yeah I agree, some can use more tweaking.

I use PS CS3. These shots were shot a jpegs, next time I'm gonna do RAW and use the included software to edit them, and then use PS.

Cool, I didn't know there was a section for this, I must be oblivious to it, I'll find it.

I'm very impressed. Great pictures!

Nice shots. Did you photoshop/lightroom/aperture adjust these at all? If not, the camera has a really high contrast setting out of the box. Would really like to see the originals.

i photoshopped all of them, but what you see as far as exposure, lighting, and aperture goes, its all camera. I adjusted saturation (individually), selective color (black, white, and neutral), added a photo filter, and cloned out some crap. If i get the time, and the motivation, ill post some before and after pics.

It might not be everybody's cup of tea, but I like your post-processing effects. Can't wait to see what you will do in future shoots with the camera man! :tiphat:

Thanks! Ive got my own style, thats for sure, and I enjoy it. I want to do another shoot very soon, maybe after a wash and polish this coming saturday.

Have you tried using Apple Aperture 3? It works really well for non-distructive editing. I use it for any light adjustments or batch adjustments using custom presets. Being able to work with RAW files is also a plus.

No I haven't tried it, and I don't use a mac. I made the mistake of not shooting in RAW for this shoot... anyway, I will next time. I've learned A LOT since after I did this shoot so the next set will be far better, especially how to use this camera to achieve the effects I want by using the camera settings rather than post processing.
