370z>evo

Yup. The Z looks more grown up / mature compared to the boy racer look of the Evo.

I like the Evo . But I love the 370z and thats why I own one...

I had a Subaru so been there done that.

The Evo is only good to admire, but never to own. All the people I know who had owned or owns an EVO has so many problems with them. The Z is more sexy!! Evo looks like a family sedan.

Evo looks like a box, NOT sporty.

The 370z is smooth ans sexy. No comparison

Now the Evo X is definitely closer in the looks department, my brother just bought a wicked white Evo X and i must admit its a good looking car. I still prefer the Z but hey I'm biased.

The Z.. the Evo looks like a commuter car. :)

Both are sweet, two very different cars, one's a sport coupe the other is a rally 4 door. apples and oranges. And duh, we are on a Z forum. Most are going to prefer the Z. The only similarities are the price.

stock for stock, the evo is faster but not by much. I can hang pretty good with my friend that has one. The interior is what turns me off the most with the evo, its not very comfortable and its not all that nice for a $40k car.

I like the Evo but, like most of us on this forum, I prefer the Z of course!:tup:

The 370, by far. I don't know about anyone else, but 4 door cars aren't sports cars. They should be known as perfromance sedans (ISF's included.)

Funny you say that. The bridge is much a much need of repair and some predict it will fall apart/collapse within the next few years.:shakes head:

A "sports car" isn't a "sports car" based on the number of doors it happens to have. If you want to get technical about it cars like the EVO and M3 are "sport sedans" and the 370Z and the like are "sport coupes". A sports car is as a sports car does NOT a sports car is a coupe so therefore it’s a sports car.

What year EVO is that in the OP? It doesn't look too bad but my buddy's stock EVO 9 without the wing looks so much better. Of course looks are subjective but I like the sleepy aspect of the EVO. I'm thinking that's an EVO 8

The interior of the EVO 9 is great IMO and those seats... Everything geels just right

The Z by far

It's an Evo 9. Also, the interior of it it really nice - leather and suede with red stitching.

the evo is just a compact econo box that has nice springs and a tweeked engine w/ a snail. the 370z is a sports car from birth and comes from a long line of sports car Z's

Owned a white IX before my Z, loved it performance wise, but other then that, i love the z in every area over it. And i never had problems with the evo, even while making 140 more hp, and 120 more tourqe, except for when something wasnt done correctly or maintained the way it should have been.

evo's have a bit of heritage and backround as well... they are sick cars that can be crazy fast rather easily... I remember the Subaru RS's out when I was 20ish and I would always say, I wish they brought the real wrx or evo over , and now 8 years later the evo's / sti's came and the evo pretty much sits atop the rally awd turbo cars.

Its really the only import car put out in the last couple years that can easily be pushed into 11's on stock motors with bolt ons and have stellar handling. And its a 4 Cyl. Pretty bad-***

I'd love to own one at one point.. they are on my list of cars that I would and want to own.

The evo is a whole different car than its lancer counterpart. Engines are so different that you cant say its the same, they have different drive systems, strengthened chassis, longer and wider wheelbase and body, and entirely different suspension system thats controlled electronically. Its development is completely separate than the lancer, and its also been from a long line of other evos.

Being said, i think the Z looks better and is more comfortable.(hence why i bought it inestead) I dont think the two cars should be compared however due to its huge differences. I do plan to buy an evo one day to use as a track car :tup:

The Evo X has arguably a better interior than the IX, and it SUCKS compared to the Z interior. Even the road feedback on our stock 370Z is superior to my Evo X on fairly stiff drop springs. Z wins hands down, minus the amazing torque-vectoring ability of the Evo and its mod-ability.

Ive had an evo 8 and X and now have my Z. They are way too different to compare with.

From a modding and all out performance standpoint, the Evo is the better car. For looks and feel, the Z is.
