That's not so different from the word, "freak" in English. Through usage the definition has changed from being highly offensive and signifying someone with physical deformities or terrible social skills to denoting a person with extreme dedication to, even obsession with something.

true, just pointing it out, I think anyone that speaks English as a first language would understand the different meanings of he word freak. I'm just saying that , for example, Siddhartha, the tea leaf gatherer in India would probably not refer to himself as a teabagger, if he knew what it meant in English. :P
