Nissan 370 Z

Quote:
The all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z, the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since its reintroduction as a 2003 model, solidifies the strengths of its predecessor with an unmatched balance of performance, style and value. Nearly every piece and component of the 370Z has been rethought or redesigned, including a shorter wheelbase, greater use of lightweight body materials, larger engine with 26 more horsepower, a new 7-speed automatic transmission and the world’s first synchronized downshift rev matching system for the 6-speed manual transmission. Performance has been enhanced with a more rigid body structure, better power-to-weight ratio and a new 332 horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control.

My initial guess was 336 HP. So not too far off.

A lot more than the Cayman. This is going to be a very good fight between the two, that's for sure.

We'll see (I actually own a Cayman S but I'm a Z addicted)!
However, I noticed that the numbers change a bit from place to place: you can read "332HP" or "339HP", as I read yesterday on a european blog. Someone said also "329HP" only.
But I think that the 313HP of the latest 350Z would have been good, the most important thing is the WEIGHT and I don't like so much what I recently read about the weight increasing from 1400 to 1450kg (3200lb)...

You guys are going to get a different HP numbers because you're in Europe. We never had our 350Z more than 306 HP. That was the 2008 Model. I just saw that you guys already had 313 HP in your Z. So let's see 313-306 = 7 HP difference between US and Europe.

Today, NIssan announces we will get the Z with 332 HP. So, lets add 7 HP to that and voila, 339 HP. I can def see the European model coming with 339 HP. The weight increase is true somewhat. Nissan said that they will release rest of the specs on 11.09.08 @ noon.

Can someone fit me into their luggage bag?
I promise I won't say a word unless I sense that the Z is Near!
Then I'd pop out and just hot wire it away!

I'll steal the 370z like that guy stole the Knight Rider Car!
