That thing looks like a Hyundi Coupe and the only diesel engine I want would be found in a truck

I like the body style! Eat me, I like it!

"The E300’s mix of 2.2-litre, four-pot turbodiesel and 15kW electric motor produces a total of 221bhp and more than 420lb ft of torque". << But how do you get that much torque?

Can I chop you up and make you into Chili?

Diesels are chock full of torque. I'd explain why but its late and can barely form a sentence. But my truck which was a 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel had like 300 horsepower and like 550 Ft. Lbs of torque.

the resale values on our cars just went up!!! if they put one of those SH1T motors in the Z we will have the last real Z!!! it will be a huge hit and the value should stay high.

Also to answer someones question on how those diesel/Electric cars get so much torque is the electric motor. Electric cars make Gobs and Gobs of Torque but their sustainable travel distance is truly weak sauce. there is a company called Zero Cycles that make electric motorcycles. They are slow, quiet (a kid got ran over at Infineon raceway *he wasnt hurt* a few weeks back because he couldnt hear it coming and stepped out in front of it), make tons of torque zero HP, and can only travel 50 miles before having to be recharged, Top speed of 50mph.

I am all for new technologies however battery technology is not up to spec to get the job done. AMA pro racing has started a Electric motorcycle series and many of the bikes over heat and start to burn up after a 20-30min race. They only reach about 100mph and that is the fastest bike out on the track. When the bikes come off the track they are immediately taken to HUGE cooling fans to cool the batteries down cause they get so hot and over heat. you can even see that on the track as many riders have to cut their bikes off and coast to cool them down and continue the race.

Go Petrol! I am happy to kill my share of Dinosaurs!

Watch us all skeptical now, when the time comes only the most wealthy of us can keep affording to fill the 370z. It's gonna be sad when the prices of gas is like I dunno 7 $ a gallon guesstimate. then these new Z owner are gonna have more fun than we do. Assuming their electric diesel motor doesn't break all the time because it sounds like it might. Double edge sword if you ask me. I sure hope they keep the Solid suspension in the Z I like the fact that I don't feel like I m going to die. I drove a Merc c230 and a C300 coupe and I felt like Im going to die by just turning feels so sloppy. I hope they get some nice styling into the new Z who knows it might be really popular.
