^ IMO i think it is the sports package. Who knows though maybe the wheels are an option or maybe you can get the SP without the wing

It probably would have been more tightly bunched if the S2K wasn't there.
Also, I wish they showed a vantage point from the 911 during the straights to see how much it gained on the Z. From the lap times, it looks as if the 911 could have easily overtaken the Z. But as mentioned, these videos are simply for entertainment. Oh and I was somewhat surprised to see that the Z has a better power to weight ratio than the Cayman S. BTW, was the 911 a plain old auto or did it have the PDK/DSG system? |

It is definitely has the sports package because you can tell he is using the Synchro Rev Match (example at 3:26)

For the acceleration tests, the 135i takes it from a stop, but the 135i along with all the other cars could have produced better times. It's interesting to see that the 135i produced it's best time against the cayman S, when the driver appears to have mis-shifted. From a roll, the cayman S, 135i and 370Z look to be pretty evenly matched. The S2K takes the braking challenge, with 135i understeering uncontrollably into a cone. For this segment, along with all the rest, I wish we could have a translation of the driver's impressions. The Amuse Superleggera is just badass and laps puts up a best lap of 1:03.3. Meanwhile the 911 produced a best lap of 1:05.5 and the 370Z, a 1:06.7. For the closeup of the superleggera wheels, they are described as BBS LM-Rs, while we are clearly looking at Volks. Makes you wonder what other errors were made. Oh and the GT-R Spec V was about 2 seconds faster than a regular GT-R for a ~2minute lap. |
