Default Evo X vs Nissan 370z - Octane Report

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erqBgIJofwA

It's raining and the roads are closed for us. These are the perfect conditions for Stephen to take out our two latest project cars for an introduction and quick drive. Our 332hp Nissan 370Z and 291hp Lancer Evo X are closely matched but completely different in feel. The wet weather only furthers their differences and highlights how cars that seem similar on paper are actually quite different in real life.

From here we'll be turning our 370Z into a solid street car with reliability to match and our Evo X into an all-out caged racecar. But, for now, how do they feel?

It's like they summed up everything I wanted to say in a nice little video package!

I wish I could just have both.

I agree with this.
The Evo has some great perks to it, but so does the Z and on different days one would be better (street & track days). Maybe I need to go find a used Evo for fun to mess around with.

cool little video. it pretty much says it as it is. neither is better than another (well, we may think differently here on this forum hehe),but its all about driver preference between these two cars. some folks prefer the awd capabilities while others like the fun in a rwd package.

the key is to have as much fun in whichever you choose ....as long as its the Z :P

LOL, I agree with everyone here, both cars are great cars:

The 135 and the Exo X is a drivers match.

Great vid, but when looks are figured into the equation, I know which car wins

it was reviewed in the rain, of course the car will feel different. This will be an ongoing debate, once the Z's get fed through S/C's we can put this to rest. I test drove both, the Evo is wonderful but it doesn't feed the need for a sport car/weekend driver which is what I was looking for. If you want a comfy daily driver that's the way to go.
