Although the images are far from official renderings, they do give us an idea of what to expect from the forthcoming drop top.

The last-generation 350Z roadster was often criticized for its awkward top-up shape, but it looks as though Nissan designers have addressed those concerns with the new car. The drawings reveal the 370Z roadster will have proportions closer to its hard top counterpart with its roof in the upright position.

The canvas top also seems to accentuate the Z’s curvaceous styling. That being said, the proportions don’t exactly look spot on, so they could be exaggerated in the drawings.

No word on when we will officially see the 370Z convertible, but with top down weather only a few months away, we suspect it should be making an appearance at an upcoming auto show.

Even though these drawing are very early stage but I'm glad 370Z top isn't going to be round and high like the 350Z. It does looks like an aston from some angles. Kinda reminds me of the S2000 top....

That looks 187% better than the 350Z roadster.

Agreed. I'm liking the profile shot a lot more compare to 350Z convertible.

The first two pictures are reminiscent of the 350z convertible. I'm definitely a fan of the profile shots though.

Convertibles just ruin the lines of an aggressive looking coupe :(
