Do you mean overrated? I always had a weakness for the LSX engines. The torque produced by those engines are ungodly. The 'vette is pretty light (lighter than the Z). I think with aftermarket suspension, it should be a fun car. ("should" because I have never driven one)

They are burnt orange, or more correctly, a 2005 C6 Corvette color, Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic, as are the lips on my wheels. Although, during track season, I run satin black brembos, and track season starts in two weeks!!!!!! carbotech sends me my new pads tomorrow!

I have always cycled through cars fairly quickly, never having one past the payoff. I actually paid of the corvette, so I figured there was no reason to get rid of it when I got the 370. It was supercharged at one time, but ran too hot on the racetrack, so it now only has a measly 390 to the wheels. Its a 2005 with an aftermarket front bumper, aftermarket cf hood, and factory front and rear Z06 fenders, all painted Chrysler's Crystal Black Metallic with 5 coats of clear, plus Z06 calipers and OZ Racing Superleggera III wheels, with of course, my own powdercoated touches thrown in on the brakes and wheels.

I wanted upsized rotors and caliper brackets. I did a froogle search, and they were the cheapest, at 380 for the front set. I ordered the rears from another place and had them in no time. I ordered on the 20th, and on the 26th, I got an email notice saying shipping pending, and ship date 12/31/1969. I chatted online with them and they said they shipped on the 26th, so, since they are in MN and the manufacturer is in NY, I figured I would have them by the 29th at the latest. They never showed. On monday, I chatted again, was on hold on chat for about a half hour and then they asked what number they could call me at. They told me I ordered the wrong part, and the correct one was 590, but they could give it to me for 550. I had a little bit of a cold and wasn't feeling well, so I said ok. Then I looked at my order, at their website and at the manufacturers webiste and saw that I did order the correct part numbers, and they had raised their price in the last couple days. Apparently, they had the price wrong, and didn't want to honor it. Plus, they weren't going to ship until the 5th, and I already had the truck apart because they told me they shipped last week! I cancelled the order and ordered them from Summit for 430 yesterday, they got here today with $13 shipping and the truck is back together, and stops on a dime!

I do have an exchange set of sport calipers. 99.9% of my business is mail order.

The Z4 is a girl's car, so my wife drives it.
The corvette has show car paint, so it only comes out on nice days The Z is my track car, and car I drive to the airport for my main job The Tahoe is the car we mostly drive around, because we are always hauling packages and boxes and stuff for my powdercoating business.

Mike,
You sure you don't work for the Secret Service or better yet a funeral home with all those black vehicles! Seriously nice looking Stable! When I had my 06 Corvette and my 03 350Z people would ask me why I had such different cars, and of course daily drivers for my wife (minivan) and I (SUV) too. I just like cars I would tell them. Sold the Vette and bought a 370Z last November so now I have two Zs. Overall I just like the Zs better than the Corvette. I would have liked to have kept the Corvette too, but I just couldn't get rid of my 350Z and I don't have the room or the money to keep them all. BTW your Vette looks awesome! I especially like what you have done to your wheels and brakes. I do miss my Corvette occassionally though.
