But 400Z is not a 370Z. So still a wrong forum.

'Old' Z in Passion Red. Now that there is a 'new' Z, I guess this one is no good anymore right? Should just throw it away and buy the new one right?

What I actually want, is for all the riced out monstrosities to get written off, to further increase the rarity, desirability and values of pristine examples of the last analogue NA sports car.

Opposite of pristine is dirty, sullied, besmirched, filthy.
It is definitely not rice. English is not your strong suit.

I guess my car is pristine, since it is always clean.

Wow, nice personal attack there.

It's a free country (at least so I thought before recent events). One can do what they want with their car. But decisions lead to outcomes, and there will be a reason why in the next decade when gas cars are banned, examples like mine will be worth far more than any riced up monstrosity.

When I have an extra $2000 laying around, I rather go purchase some Amazon or Google stock than spend it on some third-party mod to actually further depreciate my vehicle (once again though, free country, you are free to spend your money on anything you like as am I). Instead, I will be able to get one of the last gas C8's in the second half of the decade just by investment appreciation.

There are some exceptions according to organizations such as the Pebble Beach Concours etc... such as genuine parts & accessories, manufacturer performance parts (ie. Nismo parts), OEM+ (ie. a new head unit as long as you use conversion harnesses and no wires are cut) and upgrades especially to address engineering defects "in the spirit of the original design" (ie. HD CSC) that won't reduce the value of the car and may actually help increase it. Unfortunately, anything else is a negative hit.

So in reality, unless you are for example buying a Nismo exhaust or Nismo braces, mods are a double edged financial sword, you pay money to lower the collectability and value of the vehicle.

By using a term "rice" you have insulted anyone who has modified their car in order to improve it's appearance (changing wheels for example) or its performance (suspension upgrades for example). I certainly do not consider my car rice. I took the shortcomings of the factory design and made it better in my opinion. I don't care about the value of my car, I care about how it looks and performs right now.

For you information "rice" is a term used for those modifications that serve no purpose. Examples are - huge wings on cars that never reach speeds were those become beneficial, devices that create BOV sounds, plastic break covers to simulate large break kits, glue on hood or fender vents that have no openings.

I am glad you enjoyed the personal attack, but you did not check you dictionary before using the word pristine.

Just throwing this out there boss, but your comment comes across a bit authoritarian. Since you don't agree with something or it's not your cup of tea, it has to be "wrong" and thus degraded or thought of as less. Just because something is different, doesn't mean it's any less. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what you may see as not your perfect mod, may be in fact perfect for someone else. You may find value in internalizing these types of thoughts.

That's nice, now pay attention to the post I was replying to where it was implied that I get a new Z and leave this forum.

I am so sorry.

I was just trying to direct you to the proper section for your posts, did not realize you would take it so hard.

Passion red is being discontinued for the Nissan Z for the 2025 model year. Considering that Nissan hardly produced any 2023/2024 in passion red due to apparent new environmental regulations, this really ups the desirability of any surviving passion red 370Zs.

The new Z has been painted with a new "more environmentally sustainable" painting process than the way the 370Z used to be painted and it's been very hard to get passion red to come out properly with this new process than when the 370Z was in production.

They could use the Mazda soul red color which looks very close to passion red, assuming that soul red doesn't have "environmental" issues.
