Official Snow thread: Z in the snow (pics inside)

Lets see yours! Here's how my Z sits outside. I am just simply staying home because it's too crazy out. It's still snowing pretty bad. I should be able to drive the Z fine with my tires but I'm just scared of other drivers (oh and salt :shakes head:). I may drive around later just to see how the tires hold up. Woke up really late. Played some Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time in the morning . lol I know it's an old game but good game to play when you're bored. It's also one of my fav game of all time. Now watching Hangover: Unrated Version on blu ray ;)

Here are some pictures.. Lets see some of yours

I open the door and the glass didn't even drop down little like usual since it's stuck by snow :shakes head:

not using the garage for the Z??

also, i saw in the papers about cleaning sticks that are made in microfiber.. so it doesnt scratch the paint while cleaning like a brush would.

That's where all the video games are. I have rockband, DJ hero, ps3, xbox, gamecube setup with a 1080p tv and home theater. :D. Also a George Foreman grill and a freezer. Food go straight from freezer to grill! :icon17: I want to buy Super Nintendo and wii in future to complete my setup.

The salt makes me cringe too. I've been reluctant to take my car out unless I have no choice...not because of snow but that damn salt.

nogoodname 12-19-2009 04:16 PM

just noticed the guy standing on his suv to clean the windshield...lol

How did the Blizzaks handle? I'm tempted to check it but I want to hear from your first. My current scenario would be around 5 inches of snow. Good to go? I took these pictures few hours ago. Road are completely under snow now.

So far I've only tackled an inch or so but there was a layer of ice below. I had a bit of wheel spin from a stop if I wasn't ginger with the throttle. Cornering and braking were absolutely solid though. Antilocks didn't even come on during an aggressive stop in the snow. The seatbelt just grabbed me! I think in a true snow layer without any ice below, these tires will be bulletproof. Driving with reasonable cautiousness, this is a very safe winter setup.

Go have some fun :)

That's good news! We need more folks giving winter tire feedback.
