GTR Intake Conversion Picture Thread!

Hey Guys and Gals!

Lets see your GTR conversions! Share a picture, specs and your experience:

Here is Mine for example:

Specs:
RJM GTR Billet Conversion kit #001
EPS True 70mm Throttle Bodies
ID2000 Injectors

Experience:
I reduced my spool time by 1000rpm. I gained 275whp in the mid range and 65+whp on the top end. My torque also increased by
325 ft/lbs in the mid range and Peak torque increased by 125 ft/lbs! Having both graphs side by side you wouldn't think it was the same car. Now all I want to do is :driving::driving::driving:

Exactly!!! Its insane how much we can gain with these manifolds! they just let the turbos breath!

BboyZ 06-13-2016 03:17 PM

the graph, is that boosted or NA?

BboyZ 06-13-2016 03:20 PM

never mind. I need to read the thread. lol
How about NA, are you planning to test and show us how much gain?

TerribleONE 06-13-2016 03:22 PM

Wonder what this would do on a car with a stock motor and 10-14psi.

My thoughts too, but it's kind of a toss up because you have to buy the GTR intake manifold and now your at close to the same price as building your motor and not having to worry about breaking stuff.

Yea my thought process exactly. Tough pill to swallow forsure and I love my TS engine cover anyway so looks don't really matter to me. Maybe I can get my dad to do the AMS manifold on his GTR and I will take his.. :rofl2:

Lmao, but you might be on to something though. Just tell him that he make a bunch more power with AMS and really big power with new injectors and turbo upgrade. DD at 850whp not bad! :p

Hey guys about the cost...

We have a special going for the intake conversions of $1895 now factor in a OEM GTR manifold which on average sell for $300-$400 and you get a proven product that makes power and comes with fuel rails for about $2200!!! Thats not a bad price and I believe is the same price if not cheaper than the AAM intake manifold... needless to say this is a must do mod if you want to go past 30 psi...

Spool would be faster and you would gain power under the curve plus some top end ;)

This is currently in testing. We have a tuner testing this to see if its feasible for the NA platform. Initial feedback has been good but he is working through some tuning differences and how the manifold behaves in a non boost application. I would say its probably a safe bet to do this with ECUTEK and not uprev... The ECUTEK software is a little more versatile in the tuning department even though it costs a little more.

Right on and what fuel injectors would be needed to used with the fuel rails?

You can run OEM all the way up to ID2000 like me. but in a TT application going to ID1300s would be an awesome upgrade and will support up to 1200hp
