370z roadster seat ventilation

Is there a diagram on how this is set up? i didn't find anything in the posted service manual.

I would imagine that you'll need to wait for the 2010 service manual, as the roadster is a 2010 model.

i guess. i wanna try run the ac to it, but i wanna see how the roadster's is done.

the seats will have special open "blood vessels" that go to porous holes on the skin of the seat. I wish it was as easy as hooking up AC to the seat.

i would guess its just a fan of some sort built into the seat.

From the Nissan website.
2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster | Nissan USA Official Site
Picture 2/3 shows the back of the seat with vents on the back and a graphic of how the air flows through the seat mesh.

One of the magazine reviews also commented on how the heated and cooled seats are independent of the normal heat and AC. So you can have your seats cooled without running the dash AC.

damn, would have been nice if it can be done. i just noticed that the roadster seats are completely difference from the coupe seats.

neat!

I don't see why the Touring doesn't have them - the cooling function worked really well on my test drive.

They'll probably add it to the 2011 after I've purchased something.

get four 120mm computer fans (computer fans are 12DC like cars) and install them inside your seats. Local upholstery shop can do it, just gotta get him to swap your leather centers for perforated, and add air tunnels to your foam seat centers. Not a technically difficult job. Bet I could do it if I still had OEM seats. :) (With my computer nerd skillz, not auto skills)
