Autel OBDII Scanner - Weird Reading
So... I bought an OBDII reader. It tells me that I have two "faults" or diagnostic codes. However, when I scroll down, it says the code is "N/A" for both of them.
What does this mean? Should I reset the car and see if the Check Engine light comes on again - just to test whether this is just a glitch? Or does N/A mean something? Thoughts? |

Do you have any mods done to the car? I added cai with no problems (aem has inline maf trickery) but once I put the test pipes and exhaust on I threw cel. I looked on my obd and it said air/fuel problem which to me means she is breathing like a racehorse and the engine is trying to compensate for the extra lung capacity. So in my case it is basically telling me to stop being a cheap bastard and go spend the money on an uprev tune so the lights go away. Which program or app are you using?

I am using an Autel OBD II reader.
I do not have any mods except an oil coolant system but that was installed a good year before the Check Engine light came on. The light came on a few weeks ago when I raced a Mustang and red lined the car a few times. I'm wondering if I should just reset the Check Engine light and then see if it comes on again since the error is reading "N/A"...? |

I was gonna buy one of these, they are like 80 bucks @ autozone. But then I realized I can just go to Valvoline and they have one for me to use. I think its a good investment for those who are paranoid about their cars LOL,

There's a good chance that it's just random misfire and/or engine over-rev but I would beg/borrow/steal a scanner that will give you more info before clearing the code.
