heated side mirrors
can anyone help me with the wiring schematic for the heated mirrors along with the connector pin out for the 2010 370z
|
I too would like some info / help on this. Has anyone put heated mirrors in their 2009 370Z yet and if so is there a write up, or guide to follow? Is it straight forward or a PITA?

bump for me too, somebody broke my passenger side mirror when it was parked outside of my apartment :/

Interested as well,
I read that someone installed heated mirrors on a 2009, stock has 3 wires, heated has 5. Haven't seen any pictures though, would like to see a DIY |

Ok, this is the article I found.
It is for installing jdm mirrors, they are heated but also power fold http:// w w w.nicoclub.com/archives/jdm-folding-mirror-swap.html |
The wires will probably be there. Google Translate
look at the picture here, the back has the plug for the heated function. Shouldn't be hard to retrofit, wouldn't be surprised is the harness is all here. |
Heyguys, I have successfully installed heated mirrors on my 2009 "Z". it's not an easy task. I also bought from ebay nissan altima door harnesses from a 2009 nissan altima. With both harnesses I had enough contacts and wires to do the job.1: bought mirrors from Courtesy Nissan, they are actually cheaper that the non-heated. 2: Got the wiring diagrams for heated mirror "Z" 2011. 3: Removed mirror & replaced mirror and soldered connections on mirros and pined them into the connector. 4: I removed both door panels and wired the door from the morror connector to the door main connector. This is a little hard to run the new wires through the conduit. 5: The ground wires on the car side are there already so you have to splice the ground mirror into the existing ground wire. The groung pin on the left kick panel is # 13 on connector M5 / D1 on the right kick panel is # 14 on connector M124 / D31. This is the easy part if you have the right type of pins, this is the key note.
6: The power wire for the left mirror is not there so you have to run a wire from pin # 10c on connector M3 to pin # 44 on connector M5. Then forthe right morror it is totally different. The wire 9C is there but is only connected for the heat contoller not the mirror. So I spliced in the power wire behind the switch for the defogger switch and ran it to the right kick panel pin # 44 on connector M124. 7: Installed fuse # 13 in the fuse box and powered up the defogger switch and with a multimeter I checked for power and all worked as advertised. I used those stick on thermometer and placed them on the glass and the pemperatures climbed. It all works great but it was a pain in the butt and really not worthit. I'm an aircraft avionic technician and for me it was not really that easy but I enjoyed doing it. Just remember that if you decide to venture in this direction the correct pins is the key factor, you will need both male and female contacts. Good luck. Make sure you follow the wiring diagram. |
Hey guys, Note: the wires to the back of the mirrors have to soldered and routed through the harness conduit to the first connector. There you will find only 3 pins, you need to add 2 pins # 4 which is the power pin and # 8 is the ground pin at connector "D3" . The door harness side you need to add POWER PIN # 44 on connector "D1" to PIN # 4 on connector "D3". The ground pin # 13 is already there at connector "D1", so you will have to take the wire from pin # 8 from connector "D3" run it through the conduit to connector "D1" and splice it to pin # 13. This is for the drivers side mirror.

thanks for the post. Now I'm looking for jdm mirrors that fold electronically.

If you buy them from Nissan it would cost you $1,465.64 and they aren't painted. I Bought a set of Ganadors so I am letting the factory mirrors go. Letting them go $470.00 (370Z not included).
