Default Blue tooth install / garage door opener

I have tried without succsess the past few days trying to load my phone into my car. I make sure to have it in "discoverable" mode where it can be picked up before I press the search button on the steering wheel. The car searches and does not find it. What am I doing wrong?

I have a sony xperia x10 phone.

Also having problems with loading my garage door clicker into the RV mirror.

I have tried it through the manuals directions and have failed. Any tips or tricks?

well, when it comes to garage door openers, its hit or miss. some are compatible, some aren't.

Also, remember that there are two different types of programs with the garage door openers. If you have an opener that uses rolling codes, you need to hit the learn button on the back of the actual garage door motor and then get to the car quickly to hit the homelink button.

Thanks guys. Any idea about the phone and bluetooth? When I press the phone button to pair it automatically goes to searching, I can't get to the menu to press pair. Any idea what to do?

I wish to set my application to monitor.., Set the position relative to my garage and open the garage based on the speed of my vehicle entering or exiting the garage.. but I did not even raise my hand off the wheel...

I got my iphone 4s done in a snap, but I still haven't figured out the garage door yet.

I GOT MY IPHONE 4 PAIRED!

First off, goto Nissan Bluetooth | Wireless Phone Technology | Nissan USA to see if u'r cell is compatible.

If it's compatible, here's what you do...

1. Press the "settings" button and then press the touchscreen "phone" button.
2. Click on "Bluetooth Setup" and then make sure "Bluetooth" is set to ON!
3. The select "Pair Phone" and then select a slot by touching the screen and press "Enter".
4. At this time, U should have u'r cell in the "seeking/pairing" mode.

This worked with me and I hope it works with u. Best of luck, bro/s!

Default Garage Opener

I've tried pressing the two HOME buttons with car off, car on, accessories on, and NOTHING produces the blinking of the green light as the instructions suggest, no matter how long I hold them down. Trying to enter one garage door opener by that single-button method doesn't produce any blinking of light either. It's not a matter of incompatible garage door opener--it's that the mirror buttons themselves appear to be inoperative--it won't even try to learn the code! Any thoughts?

Does the light do anything at all when you push the buttons down, or a button down ? If so try following the reset for the home buttons as you may have to clear them before re-programming them if this was a used car when you bought it.

Default Garage door green light.

No, 3ZWorld, the light does NOT BLINK AT ALL no matter what I try to do. The green light does come on when the engine is started. But won't blink when trying reset. Won't blink when trying one-button setting. Won't blink at all.

Default Garage Door Opener Solution

Local Nissan dealer had no clue why the garage door light wouldn't blink and accept programming. I took the passenger compartment fuse box door off and looked at it and saw, situated in the center, a square white rather complex plastic item which I initially mistook for the fuse puller said to be there (other threads say it is in the engine fuse compartment--but it ain't!). It was not a fuse puller, but a strangely shaped push-pull button which was pulled out. I pushed it in and the garage door programming red light came on and I was able to program the opener just fine according to manual instructions.

I see no mention of this switch anywhere in the manuals nor can I locate mention of it on these forums. Maybe I'm just overlooking.

I called the local Nissan dealers to make the service departments aware of this.

It is the switch to decrease battery drain if car is to be parked for a long time. Apparently dealer forgot to switch this on before I took delivery. It is in manual but not in relation to garage door programming.
