Missing items in the trunk

Maybe it's nothing but are they things supposed to be in these 2 spots? I have a '11 Touring Sports. Thanks

Hmmnn, on the left in my car, its a screwdriver and on the right is empty. Ive heard that in Japan, the spot on the right is for a digital tire pressure meter....

What good will that do?

It's been suggested by others that the left is for a screwdriver and the right is for pliers. Inspired by this I fitted a 4-way screwdriver on the left and a pair of pliers (with a little trimming) on the right. looks good.

marrim 07-29-2011 12:23 AM

I use the left one for my spline lug socket.

You do not have any tools missing. That is correct for your model on the US market. I believe the NISMO comes with the screw driver for the left side area and some foreign markets have pliers for the right side area.

question...

I have a non sport but purchased the brakes and the sports spare ... How does your spare sit in the hatch area? Face down? Or does it rest on something?

A little late chiming in but I just got here. I'm pretty sure these are for an emergency tire puncture repair kit. If I recall correctly and reading page 6-7 in my owner's manual if you have a puncture repair kit you don't have a spare tire. Can't remember where I saw it and I've been all over the Nissan site trying to find it but no luck. Google hasn't helped either.

Roadster come without a spare tire in some locations.

You could cut a peice of plastic pipe to fill in the space the center of the wheel would take up...

I know, but i want to look more neat,a plastic pipe looks cheap.

90 ST 03-30-2012 08:21 PM

It would be under the sub, you wouldn't even see it.

NickD 04-02-2012 08:29 PM

So the piece in the middle that says Bose is your subs? Is that only on the coupes?

Zenki370 08-16-2012 12:55 PM

screwdriver to access stuff in the dash like the radio, climate controls and maybe pliars to reattach your bolts to your plastic skid plate after hitting one of the fine highway imperfection.

mlambie 04-04-2013 02:47 AM

My dealer said that none of the 370Z he'd ever seen had tools supplied, though we're in Australia for what it's worth.

Wonka2581 04-04-2013 04:08 AM

Maybe that pice with the missing parts is also used in other vehicles and special tools are needed for? Just my 2cents....

falcon300zx 05-30-2013 04:18 PM

 Who need spare tyre until you fell in a deep pot hole and need one.
Luckily, I have never touched it.

Ok, I know I am resurrecting an old thread with good answers already. However, I could not help but provide some comic relief input here ...

If there is a depression for a screwdriver and pliers, why is there NOT a depression for duct tape and bailing wire? Seems like a critical omission to me!

2014 Sport package ( loaded) Canadian Z and got nothing there either in the spots.

I have a Canadian 2013 Sport and I don't ever recall seeing anything in those places, but now I'm wondering what the silver thing in the slot on the far right hand side is.

Can someone post picture of roadster trunk, i bought 2010 and the trunk has no spare no jack n tools, only 2 side foams and a tow hook and lugnut remover only, just wanna know stock look so i can purchase n make it stock

JARblue 12-19-2017 10:31 AM

No spare is standard for the US model roadster. Not sure about the jack or tools, but I think roadsters come standard with a tire repair kit instead. A number of people have removed the foam for additional trunk space.

Yup, no spare and only a few sparse tools came in my Roadster.. I got the tow hook and a lug nut tool, and an air compressor and a can of heavy duty fix of flat..

I too, have removed my foam for more space...
