Someone spilled coffee

All over my passenger seat, the one with the leather and heated seats.
After trying to dry it out with towels, I sprayed it with Lysol and perfume to try and get rid of the smell... and its still there.
Its like the 4th day and the smell of sweet hazelnuts still haunts me every time I get in the car.

What can I do to get rid of this smell and have it back to the original car smell? will it go away on its own? I now drive with the windows down to try and ventilate but I guess the seat still has some coffee absorbed in it....

It could be worse. In college, a buddy of mine had a 1972 Chevelle SS. On a particularly decandent night of heavy drinking, one of his friends blew chunks all over the dash board with a great amount of it finding its way down the defroster bents. Even years later, every time he engaged the heat or the defroster the car smelled like puke.

Damn. Thats why I dont allow anything besides water in my Z. Try oxyclean. Best of luck

You violated Z code and you are a Bad Boy. Soap, water, soft bristle brush and a shop vac should do the trick. Repeat as necessary and leave your windows down to air out.

throw some baking soda on top of the area the coffee was spilled. Let it sit there for a few minutes then vaccuum it up

Yes, if it is still smelling the baking soda will take in the smell. Hope the acutal look of the spill is gone tho!

Can of Ozium, if it can take the pot smell out of a car im sure it can take out some coffee

Well you see, the Z cabin is my haven for smoking pot. After I am done with my session, I first exit the car, take out a can of ozium, Spray the affected area aka the cabin then i proceed to close my door and upon returning to my car it smells brand new. Anything else itching your curiosity I can break down ?

Suddenly the image comes to my mind of the Cheech & Chong movie where the car was so full of smoke that they didn't know they were stopped in the median of the road.
