It took me all of 90 seconds, K&N stickers included. Where are you getting an hour?

No shop should charge for something like that btw.

I take it that u don't want to take it to a Nissan dealership? I know they will install any part u bring them, at least here in Canada they do.
If you're having trouble with shops and u don't have the tools to diy.... May be you're only option......

Back in LA the shop I went to did whatever I wanted them too. Didn't matter who ordered what part. Z clinic is a little bit far for me. I'm in south austin, but if anyone knows a place that likes to make money and work on cars, like a normal business would, feel free to chime in as well :)

Z Clinic is well worth the drive and money. You can also try Soul Speed in south Austin.

Edit: Just go with SoulSpeed!

Luckily I was able to swallow my coffee and didn't spray it all over my monitor.

If ya can't fix it with vise grips and some duct tape, it ain't broke. :)

That's because everything is bigger and better in TEXAS! So shops charge more. :stirthepot: I have My Local dealership install the more technical parts and they don't care, they just like to oogle.

I agree with the earlier comment to take it to a tuner shop. Dealers here in Houston will not install, modify, or adjust anything if it involves an aftermarket part.

I would definitely chose a shop that caters to performance enthusiasts as opposed to a Firestone.

I agree on Z Clinic. Kevin is solid. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can get together when you drop the car off - I live in the neighborhood.

I have no personal experience with Soul Speed, but I have heard positive things.

Also, if a shop refuses to install parts you bring in yourself, then don't give them your business and tell others not to use them. They are just being greedy because they want the 10% markup they charge for buying your parts for you. Their liability is the same regardless of whether they bought the parts or not, so don't believe any of that nonsense.
