car died on side of the road

Like the title said, im driving and all of a sudden the engine just died. Zero response to throttle input. Steered myself onto the shoulder and checked oil first. Full. The car cranks but doesnt start or immediately dies. I dont know what to do at this point. Having a friend meet me and call a tow truck. The car is throwing a p0300 code and P2A00 and P2A03.
Is there any glimmer of hope that this isnt catastrophic?

Unless there was a loud bang, or some other not good noise your probably ok, might just be a sensor.

maizenblue 01-14-2015 05:16 PM

I didnt hear any noises. So I guess theres that. It just stopped responding all of a sudden

Tadpole 01-14-2015 05:18 PM

All three codes are related to O2 sensors. I dont think its catastrophic but you are broke down so that sucks...

Zbrah 01-14-2015 05:20 PM

Damn, I hope it isn't something serious. Good luck bro.

:iagree:

You should be able to hear it whine when the engine is on.

maizenblue 01-14-2015 06:22 PM

I dont think its the fuel pump. The car is turning over now and misfiring and then stalls if I let off the gas

OP, years/miles on your car?

Can we get some more info about your car itself?

maizenblue 01-14-2015 08:04 PM

2010, 63k
its got injen intakes and hfc and a cbe. I had it tuned a few weeks ago but I flashed it back to stock a week or so ago because it had misfired once after it was tuned. The P0300 light has been on for a few weeks but this is only the 2nd time there has ever been a feelable misfire

kenchan 01-14-2015 08:20 PM

sounds like you already found the root cause to the problem(s)
