Yes, I was aware it had been misfiring. But it surprised me that it just died without putting up a fight. It just shut off out of nowhere and misfired after I started her back up.

i think it was just overwhelmed with the cold/dry air and watever winterized fuel you put in

maizenblue 01-14-2015 08:25 PM

I guess ill find out tomorrow. I towed it back to the dealer I work at. Ill have one of my buddies take a look at it. Was just freaking out when it happened

did you find out what was wrong... might still be early :D

maizenblue 01-15-2015 01:45 PM

My buddy said its the fuel pump. Theres no fuel pressure

brucelidat 01-15-2015 01:47 PM

i had my fuel pump die a few months ago in a similar scenario.

Zbrah 01-15-2015 02:05 PM

Any symptoms before it went out?

brucelidat 01-15-2015 02:15 PM

Car had trouble starting occasionally which I solved by giving it a bit of gas while starting. I thought it was just some weird quirk. Other than that, which wasn't consistent, it just died while driving. OEM fuel pump is expensive BTW.

Zbrah 01-15-2015 02:58 PM

It's Not cover under warranty? How much did it set you back for this repair?

brucelidat 01-15-2015 03:04 PM

I was over 3 years. It was in the $700 range.

Zbrah 01-15-2015 03:13 PM

I see. Another thing I have to save my pennies for, I'm also over the 3 year BTB coverage:rolleyes:

brucelidat 01-15-2015 03:19 PM

I think mine was faulty. Fuel pumps shouldn't be going out that quick.

maizenblue 01-15-2015 03:21 PM

Mine died out of nowhere. I see theres a walbro pump for 98 dollars and a case of beer for my friend to install
