How many Z's were sold in 2014?

Camaro had sold 86,297, & mustang at 82,635. Just trying to put a number at why we're so rare. Thank you.

I would guess 2 seats vs. 4 seats (although "4 seats" in the Mustang is a stretch), US built vs. Japan built, and 332 HP vs 400+ HP available had something to do with it.

Wow were like 9% of what camaros are. Lol no wonder were so rare. That's why I love the Z!!!!

Also have to remember that the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger all have multiple engine options with a 2+2 design. So people feel easier thinking they have more room for others, plus if they don't want to spend big money on the 'fastest' version they can get a basic model for fairly cheap (which is about about 70% of the American cars are).

With numbers like that it is hard to believe they still even bother running the assembly line. I'd shut it down and sell off the last of em and walk away. Time to bring in the IDX Nismo! Probably even more of a niche car than the Z. Boo.

Definitely small numbers when compared to the Mustang and Camaro. But I guess since the R&D has most likely been recouped, it probably doesn't really hurt Nissan to produce these numbers. Combine that with the Z being assembled on the same production line as the Infiniti G/Q series (using similar engine etc) as well as the GTR, I'm sure it churns out a profit.

By comparison, the Cayman only sold 3,417 in the US last year

With numbers this low are we sure there is going to be a Z35?

It would be a hard sell to the stockholders. Even if Ghosn can work some magic (like bringing back the Z33).
