Second Oil Analysis by Blackstone (with Nissan Ester)

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...5308b1ae6b.jpg

This is my second time that I upload the report for Blackstone's oil analysis on my Z (2010 Sports).

1. feel so good that I made good choice to go by the Ester.
2. more trust to Nissan I got to have !!
3. really still runs like a new hitting almost 100K miles !!
4. Oil change interval 4K must be better than 5K.

Anyway thanks A LOT for recent low gas prices compared to the previous years in here California. :D

Zoren 370 01-01-2015 01:08 AM

David I think your right its Ester based. Which is the right term for it.

What's the difference between ester based oil and Nissan ester oil? Or would the Nissan oil be considered "ester based" as well... Semantics?

DOOMMONKEY777 01-01-2015 05:01 AM

Easter was designed to keep the vvel noise down, u can use any oil u like, except the cheapest one as long as its the right weight. 5w-30 vq37vhr.

Nissan Ester oil is recommended in the 370Z user's manual by Nissan.

Nissan's Ester oil has about 3 times as much Mo (Molybdenum), which is a metal to metal lubricant, as any other motor oil

Nissan ester oil contains a 'magic' ingredient. Diamonds iirc. Used to keep bearing surfaces polished thereby reducing friction. It's was discussed here a few years back. Take a look here:
