Thanks for the input guys. At least this incident occurred on the 2014. It would've been a crappy year to start off 2015 if it were to occur then. As for me, I suspect around 4k in damages.
|
I'd say at least $3k in damages. My car had a a light scraping and a couple of small dents..over $2K in repairs. And if you think you situation is bad...I posted a week or so ago the "don't exile me" thread. I traded my Z in for a brand new Infiniti Q60S..got backed into Christmas Eve Night. I drove the car off of the showroom the Saturday before. Literally the third time driving my car. :ugh2:. Car is currently in the shop for repairs. Dodge Dart rental FTW

Sorry for the damage, but at least no one was hurt... |
Damn man, sorry to see that. I hope other side claims 100% fault. I got into an accident half a year ago with GF's RSX. Pulled out, Stopped as im switching from R to D, this person backs up into our car. My insurance claim 0% at fault, but other side only claimed 50% at fault and so we were only paid 50% of cost. "W.e happens in Parking Lot, its 50-50". Other party was state farm insurance. Ours was geico

Any update? I've seen your car and you kept it clean. No swirls when I saw it.

Your insurance company should go ahead and fix your car on your collision (and deductible) and then refund the deductible when her insurance pays. Sometimes you have to build a fire under the other insurances butt to get them moving too. They can drag their feet for weeks. Also ask them for depreciation to your car (you're going to take a hit on its value when you trade).
Hope all goes smooth. |
So what you're saying is... she... "backed up on it"...

And a little bit of update: After leaving about 5-6 voicemails, my insurance finally called me back and asked me to call the other party's insurance company to state what happened. I'll keep you fellows posted. |
