that looks like 3-4k dmg cad so about 2-3 k muricano

But all you would need to pay is deductible at most. In Canada dmg over 1k has to be reported.

So yea... best case is you pay 0$ and wait a few weeks for the repair.

Good luck. Contact your insurance and start the claims process asap!

Man, when I clicked on a thread titled "Chick backed up to my car..." I was hoping the rest of the story was "and said "Nice Car!" and then showed me her boobs." or something. :icon23:

The version we ended up with was way less cool.

Really sorry about the car. :( Hopefully her insurance will come clean and take care of it without any issues. Really glad you're OK though!

Not only seek out the bodyshop, seek out they fella who will be actually in charge of your repair. Make sure they are aware that you are fussy before it goes in.

More than a $500 deductible...

You already reported, so I'd just go through insurance and deal with it that way.

Gawd. Makes me ill to look at a damaged Z.

GL with repair.

grandpawmoses 12-31-2014 05:52 PM

Sorry for your pain.
Hoping your state has different laws. Around here the police will not respond to accidents that happen in parking lots unless there is injury or a DUI. No matter who was obviously at fault, it's considered "equal" fault to the insurance company. I've dealt with it first hand and it's so frustrating.

grandpawmoses 12-31-2014 05:56 PM

On the good side, now you've got something to put in the "...traded her in" thread.

I had a similar incident and the damage was significantly less than yours and it still came out $1500. So I'm guessing 2-3k like others have mentioned.

Well a new amuse kit is $2500, plus paint, so your estimate Should come around 4-5K. If not, you should feel some pain in your neck and lower back from whip lash in the morning:bowrofl:

Sorry to see your damage.... your door is tweeked pretty good looking at how it's fitting in the rear. Might possibly need a door shell which is how I would write it up. Possible damage in the hinge pillar area too.
New fender
New door shell
Blend hood
Blend qtr panel
Qtr glass often breaks during r&I, very expensive
Easily 5k

I had a door shell replaced and it was $2800.

Here in AZ, on a parking lot accident, the insurance companies determine fault. Mine had to go to an arbitrator, as my insurance company felt the woman that hit me was at fault. She was in a lifted 4X4. I had opened my door as she was pulling into the spot next to me, and she didn't see me. She caught my door and over extended it, creasing it in the process. We ended up responsible for our own repairs.
