Default Malfunction Light

hey, was unsure where to put this, figured this was the best spot. But a few weeks ago i got a computer chip replaced, because i was unable to start my car at least once a day, getting the light of the steering wheel with up and down arrows on the side, and pushing the start button all the time.

well, even after getting the chip replaced, i'm still getting this. today was the worst, i was unable to start my car for 25 minutes. luckily it was in my driveway. but has anyone else been getting the 'Steering lock release malfunction' indicator?

at first i thought it could be my wheel/tires werent straight, but i make sure that they are when im parked, and even when lightly turning the wheel it still does not allow me to start the car.
