Default Don't exile me!...

I did a horrible thing on Saturday..the Z is now gone. I traded her in and purchased my first brand new car off of the showroom floor. I started to have a few small problems with my Z, and I was getting tired of the way it handled on some roads. It would jerk allover, following the different lines, pitches, etc in the road and it sometimes felt difficult to keep it in a straight line. I'm almost certain the tires are to blame, but I wasn't going to change them out because they had life left in them. Along with the undiagnosed ~$600 "sensor issue", I said it was time to go. I also wanted AWD. I truly loved my Z, and it was just as difficult as getting rid of my 350z. Hopefully I can experience the same joy with my new Infiniti. I purchased a new Infiniti Q60S AWD. Infiniti is definitely geared much more towards the luxury side of things, versus Nissan. The ride is great and the power is very smooth. It feels like it has the same power as the Z( which it should, same motor obviously) but its delivered in a much different way. That and I am going from a manual to paddle shifters..I've wanted paddles for a long time but I prefer manual . The AWD S model is not offered in manual. Anyway, I plan on sticking around here as before..guess I just won't fit in as well!

Well let me be the first to congratulate you! I think it looks amazing and the AWD will be a nice bonus. I struggle with wanting a AWD DD / beautiful car like that one or my current situation of having Tina for weekends and DD'ing a 2000 chevy cavalier lol

Very nice, I was actually entertaining a convertible in the same color, but it was just too smooth for me as I wanted a sports car with aggressive looks. That thinks drives on clouds, can barely tell its on. Kudos to you on a great buy.

Congrats! On the new ride.

Looking at your issues with the Z's handling? Sounds like a basic alignment would have taken care of the handling issue. A little late for that now.

Again Congrats!!

That was another reason for me to trade in. I've decided after my current "beater" dies, I can't justify buying a second car. The Infiniti is the best of both worlds, it has AWD and there is enough of the Z heritage in it to keep me happy.

I am sorry that you allowed a poorly aligned Z and/or bad tires to ruin your experience with an amazing car. But it sounds like you will enjoy your new ride

Thanks!!

I was actually thinking that too. It didn't seem to be out of alignment though, I could be wrong. It was on certain roads (the highway near my town for example) the car seemed to go where it wanted to go. My girlfriend even once commented about me "keeping the car straight".

Oh no, my experience was not ruined at all. I LOVE the Z, and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up in one in the future. It also needed new tires. I just really wanted the AWD and something with a warranty. The Z seemed like it would need a good amount of money stuck in it in the future, and I just couldn't justify that. The Z repairs are $$$$$, especially since I have to go to the Nissan dealer. No other place will touch the car around here.
