Magazines write to favor certain cars, so readers actually buy them, tipically American cars. If you notice every car out there is "best in its class" yet the car is actually a p.o.s.

I don't understand the meaningfulness of the metric.

VE is an engine performance related value -- not relevant to stowing golf clubs.

Based on their concept of VE, a chest of drawers would be the ideal car. Somebody at C&D had too much time on their hands...

Yawn. Least amount of cargo capacity? That means we win, right? I mean, when I bought a 350hp RWD coupe how many kids' soccer bags fit in the back was somewhere near the bottom of my priorities.

2 stock 19in rears
3ton jack
4 jack stands
torque wrench
impact wrench
bunch of other miscellaneous tools
2 helmets (they take up more room than you'd think)
24 case of water
and was still able to tetris my girlfriend in there at the end.

We do just fine.

Do you mean Corvette and Driver? Chevy once announced the Corvette was design to hold golf clubs for the wussies who play golf. My 370z holds my tennis racquets just fine for those of us who actually play a sport and move and sweat when they play.

Did you see the Lightning Lap issue where they admitted they blew up 2 Corvettes?
