I always thought of the Miata as kind of a secretaries car but my girlfriend bought one and it is a blast to drive. I like the Z a lot, but if I had to do it again I might take the Miata instead and save quite a bit of money. Much slower of course, but I never track my car anyway.

Partly Nissan's fault, as has been said in other threads, they don't do jack to promote the Z.

Also I think in general it just doesn't carry the prestige of other makes/brands. It's not a Porsche, it's not american muscle, it's not german engineering, etc. The list goes on.

I can pretty much guarantee a lot of people who bought american muscle wouldn't consider even test driving a Z (I know a few personally). To a certain extent same might go for those who like the euros.

Our Z ,are already 6-7 years old technology, every year eash car mfg will think of new way to make a car better, but our Z is more/less the same all these 6-7 years, look at GTR,every year there are changes to make the car more powerful...

These reports have more to do with the consumers than the cars in my opinion. It would be ALOT more useful if they included the most common reasons as to why people wouldn't buy another one. It is kind of funny how the ultimate fanboy cars are on the top of the list (porsche and vette)

EDIT: actually, you could argue that the top 8 are the most fanboy cars out there lol.

SO many potential variables in this kind of survey to reach any kind of conclusion. Sample sizes...exclusion criteria...biases...Maybe 370z owners are most likely to be looking forward to the next generation Z!

Besides, 47% of all statistics are made up on the spot

I would like to know the age of the people who rated it low to buy another and I would also like to see their next choice.
My bet is they are young and their next car is a four-door 'cause the wife or GF they picked up in the Z is preggers.

See myself in the mirror when I had my 300Zx.

I wouldn't buy anything domestic with a V8; the Porsches are way more than I'm willing to pay and I won't pay the service bills, same goes for anything else European. Miata and Fiat??? Sorry, I'm not gay. Hyundai Genesis? Nope.
BRZ, FRS or whatever else they call 'em? Too plain Jane. If I was to go that route I'd rather have bought a Mazda 3 or a Golf.
The only other car I really gave any thought about getting isn't exactly a sports car....Nissan Maxima. Just my opinion.

I had a z ,my problem with it was lack of power, cost to much to make more power, and the maxima was to close to the z power, all show and no go, FI is the only way to go to make that car fast.
