Not surprising at all, heck the Nissan/Infiniti family besides the Altima, Juke of recent has not been liked/perceived very well. They let known issues go on and on, with half a** fixes. Q50, Z, Maxima.....

I always thought of the Miata as kind of a secretaries car but my girlfriend bought one and it is a blast to drive. I like the Z a lot, but if I had to do it again I might take the Miata instead and save quite a bit of money. Much slower of course, but I never track my car anyway.

Partly Nissan's fault, as has been said in other threads, they don't do jack to promote the Z.
Also I think in general it just doesn't carry the prestige of other makes/brands. It's not a Porsche, it's not american muscle, it's not german engineering, etc. The list goes on. I can pretty much guarantee a lot of people who bought american muscle wouldn't consider even test driving a Z (I know a few personally). To a certain extent same might go for those who like the euros. |

These reports have more to do with the consumers than the cars in my opinion. It would be ALOT more useful if they included the most common reasons as to why people wouldn't buy another one. It is kind of funny how the ultimate fanboy cars are on the top of the list (porsche and vette)
EDIT: actually, you could argue that the top 8 are the most fanboy cars out there lol. Last edited by Dcocci; 12-03-2014 at 06:52 PM. |

SO many potential variables in this kind of survey to reach any kind of conclusion. Sample sizes...exclusion criteria...biases...Maybe 370z owners are most likely to be looking forward to the next generation Z!
Besides, 47% of all statistics are made up on the spot |

FORD: fix or repair daily
CHEVROLET: cheap hastily engineered vehicle running on luck every time JEEP: just empty every pocket And if Nissan motorsports is NISMO, what is Honda motorsports?

I would like to know the age of the people who rated it low to buy another and I would also like to see their next choice.
My bet is they are young and their next car is a four-door 'cause the wife or GF they picked up in the Z is preggers. See myself in the mirror when I had my 300Zx.

I had a z ,my problem with it was lack of power, cost to much to make more power, and the maxima was to close to the z power, all show and no go, FI is the only way to go to make that car fast.
