and the list goes on. IMO it boils down to this, if you have the money and it's no issue you'll never even look at the base model. Let's be honest, the Nismo, just like the M3, SRT8, ISF or AMG's are the exclusive cars of the brand and all out just look better and have a few better options, but at the least, when it's all said and done you'll have the top model of that specific car brand and thats worth a lot to me cause one of my last cars was a M3 and my two current cars are a Nismo and SRT8 and as bad as I wanted a Porsche, I can honestly say that I couldn't afford the 991 Turbo and wouldn't feel right driving anything less than a Turbo model and even the 997 was a bit much for me to spend on a used Porsche. No disrespect, just my opinion.
i personally just don't see the $10,000 price increase for a nismo. while the other cars you listed above there is a noticeable difference in looks and performance.

You could buy a Nismo and strip it of everything on it that says Nismo and make all your money back. I think the Nismo is fine for the price. In the end you're paying for that badge number. Something that says their is only X amount like yours. I find the Nismo to be absolutely stunning pre 2015.

i could find out how many models(yr, color, etc.) were made like mine and badge it myself and have the only base sport pckg with a badge. so can it be priced at 50k?

i do understand what you're saying, but from my opinion i just don't see the 10k price difference. if the engine was different then i'd be able to see it, but as it sits now i don't. again, that's just my opinion.

Sadly the badge number seems to have been discontinued with NISMO starting with 2015. Confirmed the Z and GT-R no longer do it. Haven't heard about the Juke yet...

Exactly, you are getting something for the extra money! Good gains/better performance in all performance parameters, not minimal or if any at all as in the case of the Nismo vs base sports package.

I never liked the NISMO Z's until 2015.(looks wise - the new wheels)
Big spoiler long nose

Only reason I would purchase a NISMO any year for the $ would be if the engine hp was significantly more powerful. The Sports/Touring looks great already.

NISMO GT-R is a perfect example vs the standard GT-R

I probably wouldn't pay extra if I were buying new... but since I was looking used, I was happy to pick up a NISMO over a base. I've only seen 2 others and 1 was at a drive-in event a forum member was hosting.

It's more like 7.5-8k, no one really pays msrp these days. The body kit is one of two (that I know of) that actually have been proven functionally the amuse being the other. A full unpainted amuse kit is 4-5K, painting and installing will get you're getting close to the additional you pay for the car alone. Also you can sell your stock nismo body kit if you end up changing your mind, you'd be hard pressed to sell your stock body kit parts. And you still wouldn't have the whole bunch of little differences that come with it too.

Essentially what I'm saying is the extra cost is justified for what you're getting. If what you're getting isn't what you want then of course the extra cost isn't justified.

For me the look was great and what I wanted so the choice was simple. But if modding is the OP's goal then a used base model is what you want.

I pulled the trigger on the 15 nismo tech cause Im not planning on changing anything on the body. Performance wise its up there and looks wise it's one of the best looking car on the road. Only thing performance wise I would add is stillen gen 3 and that's it. I'm not a track dude or a hardcore racer. I just love the Z over roll and the 15 nismo is a eye catcher.

I love these threads...some want to debate weight of the Nismo or the extra cost for the body kit and suspension when they will spend tons on carbon fiber (weighs more), another kit, and $3 to $4K on wheels that weigh more than Nismo wheels by 5lbs or more.

I drove both before buying mine, would have gone with a 5.0 Mustang if I hadn't driven the Nismo. The uniqueness of the body kit is remarkable...I get more attention than I want at times and some that is priceless. This weekend in the Phoenix area a soccer mom had to stop short at a stoplight so her son could take a picture of my car.

Buy what moves ya and don't look back! For me and the my other Nismo brothers and sisters we are

But the 10 Nismos body kit like yours has a bit more character that will catch a wondering eye than the 15 Nismos....especially the front end, rear end and spoiler!

At least your car has the performance that matches the looks of the Nismo. One day, mine will too. Hence, my user name.
