It's more like 7.5-8k, no one really pays msrp these days. The body kit is one of two (that I know of) that actually have been proven functionally the amuse being the other. A full unpainted amuse kit is 4-5K, painting and installing will get you're getting close to the additional you pay for the car alone. Also you can sell your stock nismo body kit if you end up changing your mind, you'd be hard pressed to sell your stock body kit parts. And you still wouldn't have the whole bunch of little differences that come with it too.
Essentially what I'm saying is the extra cost is justified for what you're getting. If what you're getting isn't what you want then of course the extra cost isn't justified. For me the look was great and what I wanted so the choice was simple. But if modding is the OP's goal then a used base model is what you want. |

I pulled the trigger on the 15 nismo tech cause Im not planning on changing anything on the body. Performance wise its up there and looks wise it's one of the best looking car on the road. Only thing performance wise I would add is stillen gen 3 and that's it. I'm not a track dude or a hardcore racer. I just love the Z over roll and the 15 nismo is a eye catcher.

Why by a Porsche, Ferrari or any "real sports car"...for the sport of it!

I love these threads...some want to debate weight of the Nismo or the extra cost for the body kit and suspension when they will spend tons on carbon fiber (weighs more), another kit, and $3 to $4K on wheels that weigh more than Nismo wheels by 5lbs or more.
I drove both before buying mine, would have gone with a 5.0 Mustang if I hadn't driven the Nismo. The uniqueness of the body kit is remarkable...I get more attention than I want at times and some that is priceless. This weekend in the Phoenix area a soccer mom had to stop short at a stoplight so her son could take a picture of my car. Buy what moves ya and don't look back! For me and the my other Nismo brothers and sisters we are

These are good reasons. The 2015 exterior is much cleaner than the older version, especially with the smaller rear spoiler.
It is also nice to get more upgrade interior with the Nav. etc... Quote:

^ Saying the Nismo (or any Z) is "track ready" from the factory is not true.
Unless you want your overheated, fuel-starved, car to be pulled out of the tire wall because the brakes failed.
