Clutch pedal has the creaks

2009 Z ST package with 60K. I am getting a creaking noise from the clutch pedal after I depress it about an inch and about an inch from the top when it comes back up. The sound is driving me nuts. I have tried to lubricate everything underneath the pedal and at all the junctions to no avail. I have seached for an answer but have not gotten one. Someone had said to remove the clutch helper spring. What would this do exactly? Please help .

Thanks

Removing the assist spring or installing an aftermarket one gives you a more direct feel during the engagement point, or so people have said. I don't really have any experience with that as I never felt it was a problem and left mine on. I'll look through the FSM and let you know what parts to lubricate... maybe you missed a spot.

Did you apply lithium grease to the clevis pin and bushing?

My 2006 G35c was doing the same thing & driving me nuts. I sprayed some lubricant on the moving parts behind the clutch pedal and the creaking vanished.

try to lubricate the rubber where the MC goes through the firewall. It could also be the rod in the MC making the noise - push it very slowly and see if you can feel anything in the pedal while it squeaks.

Squeaks/creaks/groans in pedals usually comes from the points where springs attach. Get of small can a spray lithium grease and give everything a spritz. Or two pieces are rubbing against each other - same fix.
