Older Nismo looks so much better from the front. I like the change, but I don't like it enough.

When the 370Z came out it was 3 generation of Mustang ago.
The Cammaro wasn't even out yet and when it did debut it took Ford 1 entire year to respond to the power gains. Now, Nissan didn't have the displacement or a forced induction plan for the car likely because of budget. So they did nothing and saved money which is fine but changes were needed 5 years ago. They had an opportunity to go a different route and they could have even gone after it with a limited edition car to test the waters and didn't. So, when the BRZ came out and showed a simple car with good handling can really become popular they still did nothing. They have made changes but all well within the realm of safe as if current sales numbers are acceptable. I don't understand Nissan logic at all. |

Well I agree the nismo price is a little crazy - but I purchased my 2013 base z for $28,500 and I would take that over mustang/camero any day ! I love how I don't see a million z's on the road a day-

Really? Wow, I'd take Alcantara over leather any day. Heck, I'd take the base cloth over leather. Leather is hot in summer, cold in winter, and doesn't hold you in place very well (IMHO). |

I have been in many seats (cloth, leather, vinyl, etc.). Granted that each material has it own roughness/smoothness, the seat design will have a tremendous effect to how it will hold you as the driver.
Alcantara would probably have the most grip among the material. Perfect for track guys. I don't track (yet) but I do a lot of canyon carving. I would have liked the alcantara if it were for its uneven look once you sit on it. Much like a "walked on grass lawn." As i initially said, a lot (but not all) don't like it. It's a personal choice, the weather where you reside, the car's air conditioning power, etc. |
