optional 4cyl turbo is most likely going to be their way to battle the BRZ/FRS market.

hoping for a higher money option of the 3.0L TT V6 that the Q60 is getting supposedly.

The dots are slowly coming together.

-Nissan exec said 2 motors for the Z
-Need to compete against the FRS better
-Need to meet emission but better performance

Those are all what we have heard about what they new Z could have, and now with the Mercedes engines we might get it all. 4 cylinder turbo for an entry level Z along with a nice v6TT engine for the upper end, while keeping out of the GTR market.

There is nothing better than waking up with a hard stick in my hand every morning. Does a 7AT do that?

Default Early model year release

Interesting GM at Deland Nissan said he's heard potential 'early' model release, as soon as April for '16s, and no significant model change that he can discern thus far...just general scuttlebutt from seemingly sincere principle at local stealership. He also concurred with lower-end Z model likely for '17 with 4-banger for competition in $25k space.

That's what he said, yep, April for initial shipment on '16s -- he thought odd since 'half year' kinda a models usually have something to add, but he didn't think there was anything...

Completely unrelated sidenote, first Ford Mustang was a 1964 1/2, i.e. April release.

sadly the 2016 Z wont be the updated one.

i'm still hoping some info on the next Z comes out soon. it's killing me just running off rumors, speculation, and then add in the V6TT Q60 info as well.

damn you Nissan

I wouldn't expect the next Z any earlier than late 2016 as a '17 model.

50% of still hopes that they don't make it any better then what it is now, so i don't have to buy the new one lol. however, the other 50% wants it to be TT 400+ hp so i can want it.
