works? yea

so... even if this is an 'upgrade' if you have any appreciation to sound you know that you'll want better quality.

just my 2 cents (wait in canada we have to round to nickels now...) my 5 cents.

I actually love the bose in my Z. the nav is from 2009 so that needs an update but i'm not paying $200 for it lol

Understand its just nice to see Nissan address some of the complaints how the current Nismo is too expensive for a model that has been out for a while. I am guessing Nissan is throwing the Bose system and then lowering the price of the 2016 nismo.

Honestly, the Bose system is actually just more of a pain in the a$$ to replace. Almost all OEM audio solutions suck compared to aftermarket HU, speakers, and amp(s).

Agreed. But it's nice "to see Nissan address some of the complaints how the current Nismo is too expensive for a model that has been out for a while. I am guessing Nissan is throwing the Bose system and then lowering the price of the 2016 nismo"

don't get me wrong... i hardly listen to music (the engine is my music) but when i do it's radio and that quality is crap anyways.

i did stream some em pee free's into it and i was content. sure it's no fancy pioneer but still got the job done of delivering sound to ear without any noticeable static or distortion or whatever else can happen

I never had an issue with the sound quality on mine. i love music and crank it often although my engine is a magnificent sound alone.

on the highway i typically got the music on and it sounds great even with the straight pipes doing their thing lol

Personally -- and this is my opinion -- I think Nissan will keep the current 370Z NISMO for another year, so they can milk that last bit of $$$ for whatever it cost them to make that new bodykit -- and give additional time to develop the upcoming new Z design.

That new bodykit's not unique to the 370z. NISMO effectively developed a common design language for all NISMO models when they expanded it to cover GT-R, Juke, Sentra, Note, etc. On all of those models, in the NISMO trim it has the same air inlets, red fascia accents and so forth.

All of that added flair actually looks ridiculous on anything less purpose-built than the 370z or GT-R. I don't care how much you tweak the suspension and turbo on a Juke, it's still a Juke unless you do something crazy like the Juke-R (basically a GT-R with a Juke chassis).

However, I am very impressed with the 7AT, Sure it dont thrill me as a stick but good old lazy bones here appears to have almost the best of both worlds. No regrets.

Worth noting I come from a strictyl manual background and this is / was my first "proper" AT car as most my previous were stick.

LOL...I was lucky. I drove an 06 Mustang GT auto and an 11 5.0 for a total of 9 years. Wife only drove the 11 once in the 9 combined years I had them, even though I encouraged her to drive them (and see the difference between high performance and Ford Escape). With that track record, I had no problems hunting down a 6MT Z straight away! :driving:

So ... why have I not seen any comments on ...

ASE (Active Sound Enhancement) under audio and entertainment up top?

?? ho hum. The only active sound enhancement I want is rolled down windows and straight pipes with headers. Well ok maybe not that far but you know what I mean. Oh well. You think they are just prepping us for the 1.4 liter turbocharged "slightly" less powerfull version?

I have straight pipes.....windows down or up it doesn't matter lol

i feel that if the new maxima comes with over 300HP then the Z will be getting a power bump with the bigger engine option to keep them separated.

fuckin Nissan just tell me details on the next Z pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee or i may just go drop 15k on boost and the beefy 7AT

if all the stars align and the V6TT actually goes into the Q60 then we can pray that the same engine moves into the Z35 as well. that's how it went with the G37 and Z34.
